Mammogram for your Mom

Breast cancer is the second leading cause of cancer related death in women. Screening mammogram is a powerful tool that has led to a steady decline in death rates from breast cancer. It is recommended that women start getting annual screening mammograms starting at age 40.

Mam4mom is an initiative to promote youth involvement in the heath care of their  mother. A mother takes enormous care in raising her children and shapes their personality as they grow up. We aim to encourage the younger generation to show their mother the same love by talking to their mom about the importance of a mammogram and to make sure that she has it done. It is very hard for a mother to say "No" to her own child and we hope that continuous reminders from her child would encourage her to make her own health a priority. We hope to increase awareness about what a mammogram is and how screening for breast cancer saves lives. Preventative health care is a subject that is not often focused on, and our mission is to help bridge that gap by encouraging more women to learn about the benefits of a mammogram and get one done.
